Provide access to education
Break the cycle of poverty
Education is one of the few possibilities for young people to break the cycle of poverty and have chances for a promising future. Children and young people who otherwise would not have access to education can be enabled to go to school by providing books because the costs are considerably reduced or even eliminated.
Books are collected, sorted, sent and then distributed to students of all ages in Africa. The books find their place in schools, rural libraries, orphanages, adult literacy programs, community centers, etc.
How does it work?
Everything with the aim of creating a culture of literacy and thus promoting the next generation of parents, teachers and managers in Africa.
Books For Africa is the largest sender of donated text and library books. Since 1988, over 45 million books have been sent to all 55 African countries.
The Sustainable Development Goals from the United Nations are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all by 2030.
